Holy Moley!

The final ballot for the 2009 Harvey Awards, named in honor of the great MAD co-founder Harvey Kurtzman and given at the Baltimore Comic-Con this August, has been announced. Whatever Happened to the World of Tomorrow and I are nominated for Best Artist, Best Letterer, Best Colorist, Best Original Graphic Album, and Best Single Issue or Story.

No one could find that embarrassment of riches more inexplicable than I.

Congratulations to my pal Jeff Kinney for the several Harvey nominations he and his most recent book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw earned, as well as others going to some excellent books by my publisher Abrams. And many thanks to all the comics pros who voted to put me on the final ballot.

Holy Moley.

Great news!
You certainly deserve these nominations. I know you've put a lot of effort into WHTWOT from research to craftsmanship to subtle details. Ad to that the fact that the book is an informative and fun.
Congrats.
