I shot this from the window of my plane yesterday. In the morning I left the Atlantic and by mid-afternoon was looking at the Pacific. What a world!
For those unfamiliar with the area, that's San Francisco Bay, with the Golden Gate Bridge spanning its opening to the ocean. Extending from the left (south) tip of the bridge you can see the green swath of the Presidio and, further to its left, the long green rectangle of Golden Gate Park. Alcatraz Island is at lower left, circled by boat wakes.
You can visit great places and people but there's always something special about going home, isn't there?
